Sometimes The Old Ways Are The Best!!

Jesse Ryan Klopfenstein
October 21, 1993 – April 21, 2026
The greatest measure of a life is not how long it lasts, but how deeply it is lived and how completely it is loved.
There are people who pass through this world quietly, and there are people whose presence leaves a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know them. Jesse Ryan Klopfenstein was one of those people.
Jesse was, first and foremost, a father. His daughter, Callie, was the love of his life, his greatest accomplishment, and the reason behind so many of his dreams. There was nothing he treasured more than being her dad. She wasn't just part of his world—she was his world.
To his family and friends, Jesse was a brother in every sense of the word. He was fiercely loyal, protective, and dependable. If you needed someone to stand beside you when life became difficult, Jesse was already there. He didn't just tell people he cared about them—he proved it through his actions. He had a way of making the people he loved feel safe, accepted, and never alone.
One of Jesse's biggest hearts was reserved for animals. His beloved dog, Coop, wasn't just a pet but family, and losing him left a lasting ache. Jesse poured that same love into the cats and fish he cared for every day. When stray kittens began appearing in his backyard, he didn't chase them away. He fed them, protected them, and quietly created a sanctuary where they could survive. That simple act of kindness reflected the kind of man he truly was: someone who looked after those who couldn't look after themselves.
Jesse loved life in all its simple moments. He loved standing over a grill or stove preparing a meal for the people around him. Whether working as a chef, serving others in restaurants, or later building a career in pest control, he believed in working hard and taking pride in what he did.
When he wasn't working, you could usually find him fishing, watching the Denver Broncos on Sundays, cheering on the Denver Nuggets, or shaking his head at another frustrating Colorado Rockies season. He enjoyed spending hours playing Gears of War and Just Cause 3, quoting scenes from Shameless, and never passing up the chance to wrestle around with friends and family just for fun. His laugh, his humor, and his larger-than-life personality made ordinary moments unforgettable.
Jesse also believed deeply in the freedoms protected by the First and Second Amendments. He valued personal responsibility, respected the law, and believed in standing up for what he believed was right while respecting the rights of others.
Many people also came to know Jesse through his appearances as a guest co-host on the Small Business Showcase, where listeners experienced the same authenticity, humor, and heart that everyone close to him already knew so well.
On April 21, 2026, Jesse's life was tragically cut short after coming outside his home to investigate noises in his backyard and being mistaken for a suspect during a police response. While the circumstances surrounding that day remain a painful part of his story, they are not the story of his life.
His story is one of love.
It is the story of a father who adored his daughter.
A brother who protected those he cared about.
A friend whose loyalty never wavered.
A man who rescued stray animals simply because they needed someone.
A cook who brought people together around food.
A fisherman who found peace on the water.
A fan who lived and died with every Broncos game, celebrated every Nuggets victory, and never stopped hoping the Rockies would finally turn things around.
A man who laughed loudly, loved deeply, and lived authentically.
For me, Jesse wasn't just my best friend.
He was my brother.
Some friendships are built over time. Ours became family. We shared victories, failures, laughs that hurt our stomachs, conversations that lasted for hours, and memories I'll carry for the rest of my life. The world lost someone extraordinary, but I lost a piece of myself.
This page exists because Jesse deserves to be remembered—not for the way his life ended, but for the way he lived. May everyone who visits here remember his kindness, his loyalty, his sense of humor, his unwavering love for his daughter, and the countless lives he touched simply by being himself.
Though his chair now sits empty, his love never will.
His voice echoes in our memories.
His laughter lives on in every story we tell.
His legacy lives on in Callie, in the family and friends who loved him, and in every life he changed along the way.
You are loved beyond words.
You are missed beyond measure.
You will never be forgotten.
Until Valhalla, Jesse.
